WOMEN’S HALF-DAY RETREAT
May 15th | 9am-2pm
As we emerge from winter into spring, from shelter in place to more interactions outside our homes, we look not to the signals the world is giving us for change, but to what God is doing. Join us for a half day retreat outside on the PBC campus on Saturday, May 15th, 2021 from 9 am to 2 pm. We’ll be providing a place for friendships, for worship, and for ways to connect with God. Join us as we explore ways to pray, to listen, and to wait for God to do His good work in our hearts. Hold the date and look for more details to come. MORE DETAILS & REGISTRATION HERE
TAKING TIME TO TUNE-IN
It was good to see all of you who could attend our Taking Time to Tune-In Event on 2/4. Click the link below to watch the recorded event, listen to the worship songs, read the prayer, as well as explore a bonus meditation. We invite those of you who could not attend or those who want to watch it again to spend some time “coming to the waters” to connect with Christ and ourselves. VIDEO & BONUS MATERIAL
Women’s Connection is a weekly event for women to connect with the Lord and each other. We are excited to dive into the book of Ruth together. We will spend time in a large group setting (on Zoom) and in small groups at various times throughout the week (in person and online).
LARGE GROUP MEETING
We will be meeting Thursdays at 9:30am for about 20 minutes on Zoom so we can connect as a large group and hear a short teaching. The teachings will be recorded and available to small groups that cannot attend Thursday Mornings. Contact [email protected] to get the link to the recordings. JOIN MEETING
WINTER STUDY: THE BOOK OF RUTH
For the winter, we will be following a curriculum on the Book of Ruth by Eugene Peterson. Since this curriculum uses a paraphrase of the Bible, we have ESV handouts as well. Use these handouts or your Bible of choice to dig into the text as we study together!
If you don’t have time to dive in to the full passage in this season of life, spend time reflecting on the weekly verse, praying, and pondering God’s words. Intro to the Book of Ruth

Inductive Bible Study Tool
If you’d like to dig deeper into studying Scripture, below is a helpful link on Inductive Bible Study. The inductive method is a way of learning how to study Scripture that has been helpful for many. Learn more HERE.

Pastor To Women
Rolana joined the PBC family in 2007. She has a background in psychology, counseling, biblical studies, and has previously served as the Middle School Pastor for a decade at PBC. She loves seeing new aspects of God’s character through each person made in his image, and enjoys getting to know different people with vastly different strengths, passions, and perspectives. Born and raised in the Bay Area, Rolana loves ministering here because she can empathize with the challenges of living here, but can appreciate the strengths this area offers. Rolana lives in East Palo Alto with her husband and two young girls. Her hobbies include biking to work, walking with friends, exploring Napa Valley, and coffee. Lots of coffee.
