Priscilla Small Wycliffe Bible Translators, Mexico

Priscilla has served 57 years with Wycliffe Bible Translators, living among the Mixtec people of San Juan Coatzospan in the mountains of southern Mexico and working with Jan Turner and Gabi Acosta in the city of Puebla. The Coatzospan Mixtec New Testament was published in 2003 and voice-recorded by Mixtecs, along with the book of Luke in video, available at Scripture Earth. Priscilla is currently preparing a Mixtec-Spanish dictionary and is enjoying on-line editing of the Spanish translation of sermons by Ray Stedman.

Past Joy to the World funds helped build Torre Fuerte Bible Church in Puebla and the Rios de Agua Viva church in San Juan. Funds this year helped Priscilla support Gabi Acosta, who makes frequent trips to San Juan to help believers read the Mixtec New Testament and is working with Jan on Old Testament translation as well as working with Jan and Gabi on a reader-friendly revision of the Coatzospan New Testament.
