Marjorie Cook

Marjorie Cook Wycliffe Bible Translators, Washington D.C.

Marjorie has been with Wycliffe Bible Translators for 50 years; 33 years in the Philippines and 15 years in Washington, D.C. at the International Relations office of SIL International (Summer Institute of Linguistics), a key partner with Wycliffe Bible Translators.

In the Philippines, Marjorie served as head librarian for three libraries at three workshop centers. Currently, she works part-time as the assistant to the director while continuing to archive older paper correspondence. Once again, the office location moved (actually 7th move in the 15 years in DC), same building, different floor but into a larger room so more people could be added, combining two separate office.  Marjorie, as will the others, will need to work from hope as desks are rotated among staff.

Last year’s Joy to the World gifts were used for dental expenses and a newer car which has been very much appreciated.
