Cenia has the privilege of welcoming, encouraging, praying for, and mentoring academics across Boston from all different spiritual backgrounds. She loves professors and researchers and seeks to involve faculty who follow Jesus in peer-led small group Bible studies. The vision of Faculty Commons is that faculty would see themselves as Christians who happen to be professors, rather than professors who happen to be Christians – to envision themselves as part of the grander story of Jesus and be embedded missionaries in their context and calling.
Cenia also seeks to encourage Cru Boston alumni/ae in their walks with Jesus. As Cru staff in Boston working on campus since 1995, she has had the privilege and joy of building bridges and trust with people, other ministries, and institutions through long-term presence and witness. Her prayer is for faculty, students, and alumni, as well as her family (husband Scott and daughter Sophia) and herself, to grow in the grace and truth of Jesus. She prays that professors will serve in their university context with wisdom, discernment, strength, and love.
