IN-PERSON: Step Closer is on Sundays at 9:00 am in the Upper Room. R&R is on Fridays at 7:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall (dinner provided). There will be music, teaching, and sharing.

PBC’s R&R (Recovery and Renewal) celebration is the weekly outreach of our Recovery Community. In the Fellowship Hall Every Friday evening 7-9:00pm (including holidays!) Experience a time of praise, worship, teaching, and community. Dinner is provided. Come and join us in the celebration at R&R!

Step Closer

Step Closer is a joyful Sunday morning gathering celebrating our recovery, freedom, and new life in Christ! We worship through singing, prayer, and teaching, and we experience a rich sense of community through fellowship and sharing. We meet on Sunday mornings from 8:55 – 10:25 am in the Upper Room.

Our Brother’s Home (OBH) is a non-profit Christian organization affiliated with the Recovery Ministry at Peninsula Bible Church in Palo Alto. OBH, which first opened in 2009, provides transitional housing for up to two years for men who have been struggling with drugs, alcohol, and a variety of other issues.

Bruce came to PBC in 2004 and has been involved in many aspects of the recovery community as a volunteer. He came on staff at PBC in February of 2018 and served as the Recovery Director through January 2021. Bruce and his wife Lucy, were married in 2012 and both love to serve the people at PBC.

Dave serves as our Recovery Ministry Director and will provide support and leadership in the many facets of the Recovery Ministry. Dave was born and raised in Denver, Colorado and is married to his wonderful wife Joanne. Dave has been a volunteer and leader in the Recovery Ministry for many years and is a great asset to the recovery community.


There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
