ClosePain is an inescapable part of life, but many of us don’t know what to do when we find ourselves in a place of suffering. After discussing how believers ought to relate to government and slaves to their masters, Peter takes a step back to give some general instructions on how to suffer well. He offers the life of Jesus as an example, gives us concrete suggestions to follow in the midst of pain, and offers an incredibly hopeful picture of how suffering fits into God's plan for the world. In learning how to experience pain, we find the freedom of hope in Christ.
