Desperation & Faith
The three people in the story belong together, even though Jairus and his daughter would otherwise have nothing to do with a woman whose condition excluded her from his synagogue. They are brought together in this story first by suffering and second by faith. The two-part story thus inspires faith in Jesus and unity among diverse people in his family.
