Lent is a time of prayer and reflection on our relationship with God and Jesus’ death on the cross—the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. During this season, we prepare our hearts for Easter, when we celebrate Jesus’ resurrection and glorious victory over sin and death.
SERMON SERIES
We will reflect on passages from the book of Joel. The Lord, through the prophet Joel, tells us to “return to me with all your heart” and to “rend your hearts and not your garments.” So, that’s what we will do, while embracing the prophet’s promise of a glorious future, when “the mountains shall drip with sweet wine, and the hills shall flow with milk.”
PRAYER OPPORTUNITIES
We encourage you to spend time in prayer during the thirty days of Lent. We have several opportunities for you to pray individually or with others.
Prayer Card
We have created a prayer card to guide you through prayers of lament. You can download that below.
