To equip every disciple for their work of ministry
With a deeper biblical and theological background
Within a cohort for spiritual growth
For God’s particular calling on their lives

PBC has a long legacy of equipping believers for God’s call in their lives.
We call this the Ministry of the Saints, which means that each individual contributes to the body of Christ.
Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up. –Ephesians 4:11-12
The Leadership Institute is designed to intentionally equip followers of Jesus with what they need to do the work of service God intends for them.

Paul Taylor
Leadership Institute Pastor
Immediately upon coming out to the Bay Area from Texas for college in 1995, I decided that I never wanted to leave. PBC became my church home two weeks later. After getting a degree in engineering, I worked in software development for seven years before going to seminary. In 2007 I became a pastor at PBC and have served as an elder since 2014. My wife Rachel and I have five children. Life is crazy and challenging and fun and full of God’s grace.

Rachel Taylor
Leadership Institute Director
Paul and I went through PBC’s Intern Program in 2000 and were so blessed by it! Now, 22 years later, we are thrilled to be able to partner together to lead and host this program for others. Our prayer is that God would be glorified in the Bay Area, that people would seek Him and find Him, and that His followers would grow in knowing Him, understanding Him, and walking with Him in their daily lives.
