Leadership Institute
Equipping Disciples for Their Work of Ministry
We believe every follower of Jesus has a role to play in the world. The Leadership Institute is a nine-month cohort learning experience which combines classes, spiritual formation and practical application to equip people in finding, developing, and sustaining God’s unique calling on their life.
Tracks
Two different tracks offer the flexibility to grow in your calling within the church or in your workplace.
Ministry
Equipping for ministry within the church. The focus is on biblical studies, theological awareness, and practical ministry for leaders in the church and professional ministry.
Faith @ Work
Intentionally integrating faith in Christ with our daily work by understanding God’s view of work and developing practices to live out in the workplace.Â
Components
Classes
Six five-week classes are held during the academic year, focusing on biblical and theological depth for each track.
Formation
A spiritual formation small group and a monthly mentor meeting will help you find and sustain God’s calling for you.
Practice
Spiritual practices and application assignments give you the opportunity to integrate your learning into daily life.
Program Schedule
The Leadership Institute requires a high commitment. We ask participants to prioritize attendance for the sake of class continuity and group dynamics.
All classes are held in-person at PBC on Tuesdays between Labor Day and Memorial Day. Remote options are only available in case of illness or travel.

PBC has a long legacy of equipping believers for God’s call in their lives.
We call this the Ministry of the Saints, which means that each individual contributes to the body of Christ.
PBC has been training people to do this since the 1970’s!

Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.
