Jedidiah High School Ministry
Our High School Ministry, called Jedidah, exists to provide a safe and loving community for high school students that inspires a journey of faith, equips them for a lifelong walk with God, and prepares them to engage and impact their world for Christ.
Why Jedidiah?
Our High School ministry is called Jedidiah. The name is taken from the story of David and Bathsheba in 2 Samuel. King David, the man said to be after God’s own heart, allows himself to be overcome with lust and sleeps with Bathsheba, another man’s wife. She becomes pregnant with his child and David has her husband killed to hide his sin. The baby dies shortly after birth and after a period of mourning, David lays with Bathsheba again. She becomes pregnant, gives birth to a son, and names him Solomon. God, however, gives him a special name as a message of forgiveness and redemption to David. God calls him Jedidiah, which means loved by God. As High School ministry at PBC we want students to know that whatever they may have done, said, thought, or been through, they are loved by God.

What We Do
Events
We plan events throughout the year that are fun and easy events to invite friends to. Events serve the purpose of creating space for students to build relationships with each other and our adult volunteers.
Missions
We encourage students to engage in missions both locally and abroad. The biggest value we hope our students grasp is that their entire life serves as a platform to share the gospel. We go to Honduras annually and plan local service projects.
Jr/Sr Programming
We strive to set students up for success in their faith beyond HS and have special programming for Juniors and Seniors. The program is called Summit and aims at giving practical tools for life and faith post HS.
Camps & Retreats
We attend camp twice a year (winter and summer). The point of these camps and retreats is to get students out of their normal routine and to create space for spiritual impact.
Mentorship
We encourage cross-generational relationships and value adults mentoring students. This happens during official HS meetings, but also outside of organized meetings.
Parent Partnership
POP stands for Parent OPportunity and is our way of partnering with and resourcing parents to intentionally raise their child in the faith. Our goal is to is help you grow with your kids.
Serve
We couldn’t do what we do without an incredible team of diverse volunteer leaders. If you have a heart for God and desire to see High Schoolers come to know Jesus and grow with Him, consider partnering with us!
