Hotel de Zink provides emergency shelter for adult men and women in Palo Alto
Hotel de Zink alternates locations through congregations in Palo Alto and surrounding neighborhoods. The program is hosted at a different church each month, and provides dinner and space to sleep for homeless adults who would otherwise be forced to sleep in cars or on the streets.
Hotel de Zink participants meet regularly with their case manager to work on goals such as employment, housing, and education.
How you can help
PBC will be hosting Hotel de Zink for approximately 20 adults during August. People will eat dinner and sleep overnight in the Upper Room. LifeMoves provides trained staff to supervise the shelter at night and also provides breakfast in the morning. Volunteers are needed to provide and drop off meals (not serve meals) each night. Dinner can be low key, prepped at home.
