Our theme for the retreat is Living Community.
Church is much more than a building or a Sunday worship service. Church is the community of faith through which God forms and transforms all believers, regardless of age, to become more like Jesus. It takes a church to raise a follower of Jesus, and together, we are that church. Our speaker, Charlie Broxton, will help us learn more about what it looks like to be a vital part of this kind of life-changing community.
This year our guest speaker will be Charlie Broxton who is the Pastor to Emerging Generations of First Presbyterian Church in Visalia. Charlie is currently completing a doctorate with an emphasis on ministry to emerging generations. He preached at PBC on July 21 as part of our “Songs of the Soul” series (pbc.org/messages/satisfied/).
About the retreat
The Fall Retreat is for the whole PBC family: children, youth, adults, single, and married. The retreat offers an opportunity to learn together, to worship together, and to connect with others in a deeper way. In addition to excellent teaching and worship, the retreat will feature age-appropriate teaching, games, and activities for children, including a jump house. The possibilities for Saturday afternoon free time include a zip line, a ropes course, hiking, and swimming. Childcare and classes will be provided for children up to fourth grade during the teaching sessions.
Registration begins August 25
