Compassion Ministry
Extending our church family through generous hospitality.

The problem with the world is that we draw the circle of our family too small.” — Mother Theresa

PBC MEAL MINISTRY

Every Sunday afternoon-evening we need cooks, dishwashers, and servers from various 3:30-7pm volunteer slots to prepare and enjoy our meal on the patio with our unhoused church family and friends.  We will also hear a short testimony or sermonette with each meal. Learn more or sign up below to volunteer one time or as often as you like.

SHELTER MEALS & HELPERS

From November 29 to January 12 we will host our annual Heart and Home women’s shelter partnership and invite you to volunteer by 1) providing dinners for 12 women at 5:30 pm, 2) help serve and clean-up dinner (5:30-7:30 pm, outside), 3) be a shower host (6:55-9 pm, outside), or 4) provide healthy muffins. Learn more or sign up below to volunteer one time or as often as you like.

SHOWER MINISTRY

Throughout the pandemic, PBC has made our church shower available to our unhoused church family and friends. We invite “Shower hosts” to set up a few chairs and welcome those who signed up and “laundry helpers” who wash and return towels. Learn more or sign up below to volunteer one time or as often as you like.

COMPASSION TEAM

Our compassion team is looking for friends who want to co-lead our hospitality ministries with us. We primarily connect through monthly Zoom meetings and email. Please let us know below if you’re interested in learning more and Rob Schulze, our Pastor of Administration and Compassion, will follow-up with you.
