Basic Info

The group schedule is a reference point for people to view; it does not add any events to the calendar.

Image

Group images are displayed with a 16:9 aspect ratio. If images are not landscape, we will try our best to crop it to the correct size. On the group directory, the group's name is overlaid on top of this image. So, it's best if the image doesn't contain text.

Location

Let people know where the group typically meets by adding a Location. Members (who have logged in) will always be able to see the exact address and the pin-point location of the group. If you don't want the general public to see the exact location of the group, use the Non-Member Display settings.

Note: Your group's default location is where the group normally meets. But remember, each group event can have its own location if needed.

Note: If you plan on using this location across multiple groups, consider making it a "shared" location.

Enrollment

Leader Access

Enabling this will give leaders access to search for any individual listed in your People database. The search will reveal the individual's name, email address, physical address, phone number, and whether they are an adult or child.

Member Visibility

Attendance Reminder

If selected, an email will be sent to the primary email address of the group leader, 10 minutes before the event start time, asking them to report attendance.
If leaders reply to the attendance request email that is sent out, the response will go to the selected individual.

Event Reminders

Use Event Reminders to send email reminders about your events.

This will not update any existing events. This is merely a default to help speed up event creation. Whatever is set here will be respected when any new event is created.

Tags

Use group tags to track extra information about the group and organize groups in useful ways (beyond that of the group's type). On the group directory, group tags turn into helpful filters which visitors can use to find the perfect group. Manage Group Tags

Group Page Settings

Visibility & Enrollment Status

Visibility: A public group is listed in your group directory. A private group can only be seen by administrators or the group's members who have logged in.

Enrollment: An open group will display a "Join This Group" button on the group's public page, allowing visitors to ask to become a member. Note: The "Open Signup" setting, above, allows anyone to join the group instantly. A closed group requires an administrator or a group leader to manually add members. The "Join This Group" button is not displayed.

Contact Person

If you have someone designated to answer questions about this group, enter their email address here. If there is an email listed, we will display a contact button on the public page where potential members can ask questions before joining the group.

If you do not want the contact button displayed on the public page, leave this field blank

Leader Display

If selected, the first names of the leaders in this group will be displayed on the public page. This does not affect the Contact Person of the group. If one of your leaders should be listed as the Contact Person, you will need to put their email address in that field as well. This setting will only toggle displaying the names of the group leaders.
