We resume “The Story of Joseph” series on Sunday, April 11. The story of Joseph is one of the richest and most detailed personal narratives in the Bible. As we encounter Joseph’s story, we will see echoes in our own lives. We will be reminded of God’s faithful work in and through us even when that seems impossible. We will receive hope for transformation and redemption in the dark places. Most of all, we will be led to the one who gives us hope for salvation: Jesus Christ.

Audio, video, and text versions of each message in the series is available weekly in the Sermon Library.

Race and justice can be uncomfortable topics to talk about. However, our leadership team at PBC believe that we, as the church, have a responsibility to play a role in addressing racism and injustice in our society. Our goal is to provide ways for us as a church body to get more informed and start conversations about these complex issues.

Upcoming EVENTS

Beginning April 12 | 7–8:15pm| Zoom

PBC’s “Who is Jesus?” class is an opportunity for those curious or new to faith to explore the person and divinity of Jesus of Nazareth in a friendly and informal environment. Consider sharing this information with people you know who are interested in learning more about “Who is Jesus?” Sign up below to receive the class Zoom link.

April 10 | 7–9pm| Facebook Live

April 10 begins our two-part Pursuing Christ through Racial Justice event. Part 1 is the online screening of the documentary film “Before They Die” that chronicles the aftermath of events of the 1921 Tulsa Massacre through the lens of survivors. Reggie Turner, the documentary’s creator and director, will answer questions and offer personal insights. This event will be livestreamed on PBC’s Facebook page and on YouTube.

April 17 | 7–9pm | Zoom

Part 2 of our Pursuing Christ through Racial Justice event will be held on April 17, and will look at Racial Justice through the lens of God’s eyes and his expectations of Christians. PBC Pastor, Jeff Louie, and Kaloma Smith, pastor of University AME Zion Church, will conduct this session. Everyone is warmly invited and encouraged to attend both online events. Zoom details to come.

Are you feeling isolated during this time? We’d love to connect you to our community. All of our ministries continue to offer weekly online connecting points that can help PBCers and our newcomers get plugged in. We also have new small groups that are forming for connection, prayer, and fellowship. Fill out a Connect Card and we’ll follow up. We are honored to pray for you if you need prayer. Submit a Prayer Request for our pastors and elders to pray for you.
