CURRENT SERIES

We are exploring the book of Ezra in our “Return and Rebuild” sermon series. This book tells the story of God’s people returning from exile and rebuilding the temple in the city of Jerusalem. We will see them building a new life with the physical presence of God at its center. We will ask how we can rebuild our own lives with the presence of God at its center.

Audio, video, and text versions of each message in the series is available weekly in the Sermon Library.

Build The Altar First

Return & Rebuild

The Israelites have returned, so they get to the work of rebuilding the temple. As they do so, we'll see them dealing with issues that are as current today as they were then. How do they move forward with something new while honoring the past? What is the first priority of a community when it comes to cultivating the presence of God? How do you deal with different reactions to a physical space? In the midst of these difficult questions, we'll see the goodness of God highlighted as the unifying declaration for the people of God.
