We’ll explore how we can live out our faith in the present even though this world we live in is not our ultimate home. This 13-week sermon series begins September 13.

Audio, video and text versions of each message in the series will be available weekly in the Sermon Library.

Race and justice can be uncomfortable topics to talk about. However, our leadership team at PBC believe that we, as the church, have a responsibility to play a role in addressing racism and injustice in our society. Click the button below and lean into these topics with us.

Our Christmas season will look different this year due to the pandemic. However, our joy remains in celebrating the “good news” of the birth of Jesus Christ. Find out about the Help One Child Giving Tree, the Christmas Bay Area Blessing recording, the Palo Alto Christmas, and our Christmas Sunday and Christmas Eve services at We hope you will join us.

It’s time for our annual Joy to the World campaign. Joy to the World is our window during the end of the year where we come alongside our missionary and ministry partners and financially give gifts and sponsor the various works they are doing. More information about how to participate in Joy to the World is at

Feeling isolated during this time? We’d love to connect you to our community. All of our ministries continue to offer weekly online connecting points that can help PBCers and our newcomers get plugged in. We also have new small groups that are forming for connection, prayer and fellowship. Fill out a Connect Card and we’ll follow up. If you need prayer, fill out a Prayer Request.

Paul Taylor - September 20, 2020

Standing Here, Looking There

In the first part of the body of Peter's letter, he urges his readers to orient themselves toward the future. For the follower of Jesus, he describes how the future is secure and guaranteed. He shows how it enables joy in the midst of suffering. And he explains the unique privilege of living during this time of history. Peter shows us how the gospel gives us hope, joy, and wonder in Christ.
