I am filled with joy and humility that God sees fit to call on me, with my passion for "the family", to serve others by helping to build community, organize Family Dedications, and support parents and children with special needs.
My broad vision is helping families grow collectively, with shared experiences serving together, praying together, and for those desiring it, just "doing life together". As life choices pull us in a multitude of directions (work, school, sports, music, special interests, chores, travel, and yes, even study groups and service activities), where do we (as parents) and our children build meaningful relationships and learn everlasting lessons? How do we keep from conforming to the secular world around us? We can encourage groups of parents and their kids to invest time in each other, to be models and mentors and friends -- partnering, praying and befriending one another to build healthy Christian homes.
Paul, in Philippians 3:15-21, gives us a pattern of behavior to imitate, reminds us that our citizenship is in Heaven, and challenges us to live differently..."so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow...and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." (Phil 2:10-11)
