I've gotta say: I'm pretty excited about our new website. Not just because I like technical things and this is a very cool new toy. Not just because it gives me an excuse to spend more time on the web. And not just because I like things that are new and different -- and this is definitely new and different.

I'm excited for this website because it fits with my theology and it fits with where we are going as a church. We at PBC believe really strongly in the presence of the Holy Spirit in every believer. We believe really strongly that we are a body and that God has something to say through each one of us to each other. And we've been talking about community. We've been talking about finding ways to recognize more of God's work in each other's lives. We've been talking about finding the Spirit in the different members of the body.

And our new website is a great tool to build that house. It's like a new hammer, though. It will take us time to get used to the weight of the new head and the way the new shaft feels in our hands. It will feel awkward at first. And it won't make community, or God-awareness, or a healthy body happen. Tools have to be used. So I'm eager to see us learn to use it. I'm eager to see what kind of a house we can build with this hammer. I'm eager to see what God does in our midst.
