Summerville (June-August)

Super Sundays are designed to provide elementary children with experiences through a wide variety of activities on Sunday mornings from Godly men and women throughout the summer.

Based on 1 Thessalonians 2:3-13 the goal of Super Sundays is twofold:

  • Introduce our children to PBC adults in creative ways so they may learn what God is doing in their lives through their gifts, talents and interests, and...

  • For children to develop such strong and interactive Christ-centered relationships with other children through these summer experiences they will have a strong desire to come to church throughout the school year so they may hear and respond to the word of God as presented by Disciplers and Specialists.

How Can I Get Involved?

One of two ways...as either a Presenter or a Counselor...see below for more specific information:

 1. Presenter

  • One Sunday, that's it!
  • Develop a fun, age-appropriate activity for a group of 20-25 kids, something you yourself REALLY enjoy.
  • Share your "life" with these kids through this activity, connecting your favorite bible passage to it so the kids may walk away knowing something more about you and why God is important in your life.
  • Click the "Volunteer Spot" button to reserve a "Presentation date" online.
  • Some of the activities kids have experienced on Super Sundays in the past include:
    • building their own miniature church
    • Water color painting project
