Paul's instructions to the Corinthians in 2 Corinthians 8-9 provides practical instruction for how to handle money as a Christian. Through this overview, we will see that God desires willingness, generosity, and provision by His people for His people and the world. The analogy of a child learning strict rules as a kid, facing the transition into adulthood, and then learning to apply principles with freedom will help us understand the progression of ideas from the Old Testament, through Jesus’ ministry, and into the New Testament.
