But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. - Acts 1:8
Walking daily in the shadow and reality of the cross is the call beckoning every Christian. Our lives are to be displays of sacrificial, Christ-centered purpose and mission. Submitting to God in everything and to each other in community, we work to accomplish God's plan in the world. We depend on grace to live in unity and to be light to the world around us.
Peninsula Bible Church has been involved in the work of God on the planet for close to sixty years. Our goal is to inspire each individual at PBC to ask the question, How does my life fit into God's worldwide activity?, and be moved to
get involved. When we live individually with a sense of calling, we can move beyond a limited perspective of our circumstances and adopt a grander view of life. We see that God is glorified as we, his Church on earth, center our lives on Jesus by both growing together in Christ-centered community and participating in God's transforming work in the world. Opportunities for involvement in both abound at PBC, from supporting missionaries around the world, to serving in local ministries, participating in short-term missions trips, writing letters of encouragement to those on the front lines in the advance of the Gospel, and, most importantly, praying regularly and diligently. No one can do everything, but everyone can do something and trust God to multiply the effects of each small contribution.
