After realizing that we live in two worlds, walking with Christ means rejecting the world of lies that dominates our experiences. Paul lists two different examples of vices to be rejected which move from specifically sexual sins to more general relational sins. He concludes with a general instruction against lying. The focus of this passage is in the fact that believers in Christ have already put off the old self, while the next passage focuses on putting on the new self. This passage concludes with a statement of equality within the community.
