Luke 15:11-32 has traditionally been known as "The Parable of the Prodigal Son." However, in reality, it is a parable about two sons--a younger prodigal son and his older dutiful brother--both of whom are equally lost, equally in need. One of the sons simply has needs that are more visible, more outwardly evident, than the other. Similarly, today, some people have needs that are easily seen, while others have needs that are far less apparent, perhaps even to themselves. And yet, the truth is, we are all united by our desperate need for Christ and for an understanding of God's heart for the lost.
