Family at the Cross

John 19:26-27
In his last moments on the cross, Jesus offers provision both for his mother and for his disciple, John. This act demonstrates the great personal care and concern of Jesus in the midst of the eternal act of the cross. Jesus does not allow cosmic mysteries to replace individual kindness. His is a salvation both universal and personal. As we reflect on the mystery of the cross, we are invited into personal relationship as well.
