The purpose of the PBC intern program is to develop Bible-teaching ministry leaders. The program covers two years and consists of three elements: Biblical studies, ministry involvement and a relationship with a mentor. One year is spent in the Old Testament, and one year is spent in the New Testament. The core curriculum comprises six courses in Biblical exegesis covering key theological texts and literary genre. Courses are taught by members of the PBC pastoral staff. Interns will be assigned to a ministry so that they will be able to put into practice what they are learning in their studies. Each intern will be assigned to a mentor from the PBC leadership who will meet regularly with him or her.
