5:00pm Singing in the Auditorium

To lift ones voice in song is one of humankind’s great joys! To join your voice in common song with a crowd is a wonderful form of that joy and it is a joy long celebrated in the Christian church.

This act of singing together familiar songs of praise to Christ Jesus our savior is part of the special joy of worship. It is a “gluing” kind of thing connecting us to each other as we hear a greater thing made together, it is also an act that connects us to the historical Church. By giving voice to words, tunes, and the theological poetry of believers who have worshipped God before us, we are shown a path of worship that has been traveled. By following in these footsteps we have the chance to be enriched and to know God in a deeper way.

Praise the Lord who has made sound and tune, rhythm and rhyme! Let us sing, and let us sing together!
