Lent Devotional Guide

A Lent devotional guide created by and for the community of believers at PBC is available at the Gazebo on the patio Sunday mornings, or in the church office midweek. Lent starts on Wednesday, the 22nd of February and will continue for 46 days until Saturday, the 7th of April. The Lent devotional guide includes reflections on a daily verse, devotional art, and suggested activities. $5 suggested donation.

Palm Sunday

Join us on April 1 for our Sunday morning services at 9:00am and 10:45am. PBC children, with palm branches in hand, will join us for the opening portion of the service to celebrate the Messiah's entrance into Jerusalem.

The Triduum (Three Days)

A Service in Three Parts: Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Morning

Maundy Thursday: Jesus & Peter

At the evening gathering on April 5, we'll commemorate the Passover meal as described in John 13. We shall come together at 7:00pm in the Auditorium for reflection, communion, and song. A children's program will be available for children 3 years and under.

Good Friday: Jesus & the Cross

Join us at 7:00pm in the Auditorium on April 6 for a time of sober reflection. The rememberance of Jesus' sufferings and death, as told in the book of John, will be brought to life by a cast of readers, musicians, and actors. The room will be darkened and a series of candles will be progressively extinguished as each section of the story is told. A children's program will be available for children 3 years and under.

Easter Morning: Jesus Resurrected

We gathered for worship at 9 and 11 am to celebrate with a resurrection message, music, and baptisms. After spending the season of Lent looking at Jesus' last words from the cross, on Easter Sunday we'll consider some of the words he spoke after being raised from the dead. We'll look at what Jesus said to three individuals: Mary, Thomas, and Peter. We'll see that Jesus offered each of them something unique: comfort, faith, and a mission. As we look at these words of Jesus, we'll reflect on what Jesus says to us and how we might respond to the words of a resurrected Messiah: The Words of Resurrection.
