Festivals

What are Festivals, why do we have them?

The Bible is loaded with stories, telling of the experiences Israelite children had to help them connect the truth of who God is and why he loves them so much…

These experiences were known as festivals and memorials.

Some examples of these biblical festivals and memorials are:

  • Festivals: Passover, New Year, Atonement, Booths
  • Memorials: Jericho’s ruins, Jordan River, Jacob's Well
"For Israel, history was to be experienced and children were to participate as the community relives the past that has shaped its faith and identity." Larry Richards

In a similar manner we are working to develop festivals and/or memorials throughout the year, opportunities for you as a family to experience God together. To not only remember what God has done for us in the past, but to experience Him today in such a way your children will come to know and believe His love for them is real.
