*5th Grade parents: If your family does not normally attend the 10 am hour, this may be a good year to begin! Our teachers have the unique needs of your child at heart as they are planning their lessons. Here is a word from teachers Corine Klingbeil and Beth Kaestner:

The 5th grade year is an extraordinary time for our children. They want to be helpful and to please, but they are also starting to discover what it meant to question "truths" they have been taught. In the adolescent and teen years, this is especially true of their faith. But this a wonderful opportunity for us as their teachers, as we can give them the time to lay out their beliefs, questions, and doubts with their peers and teachers in a loving and encouraging setting with Christ as their Teacher. We hope that they will take this time to begin to establish a lifelong intimate bond with the One who longs for fellowship with each of them. The building of this life-giving relationship with Jesus is the prayer of our hearts for each of your children as they prepare to enter the middle school and high school years. Your prayers for such a relationship are coveted for all the children and parent volunteers in the 5th grade class.
