We invite you to join this casual gathering of women seeking to grow in faith and in relationship with one another as we read and discuss fiction and non-fiction books centered around biblical themes.
Reading by the Shore, oil on canvas by Charles Sprague Pearce, (American 1851-1914) Metropolitan Museum of Art
*'By the Shore' book club will meet three times during the 2009-2010 academic year:
November 19 (discussing "He's Been Faithful" by Carol Cymbala),
February 25 (discussing "The Potluck Club" Book 1 by Linda Evans Shepherd and Eva Marie Everson), and
April 29 (discussing "The Apostate's Tale" by Margaret Frazer).
We meet from 11:45am-1:00pm in A-15.
There is no set commitment. You may pick and choose the times you would like to participate. Letting kathy_means@pbc.org know that you are coming is helpful, but not crucial.
It is beneficial to have pre-read the book selection for each gathering so that you can participate in the discussion. Also, bringing a simple food item to share is always appreciated.
Yes! Please reserve via information below. Also, please bring a sack lunch of finger food for you child to eat.
Please register your child/children if you are planning to attend one of the mid-week, on-going women's groups, even if you have previously registered your children for other events at Peninsula Bible Church. This will help us to provide a healthy ratio of childcare workers so as not to turn visitors or regulars away. You may register online or by contacting Lora Carey at lora_carey@pbc.org or calling 650/494-3840 x218. Registration for families new to PBC are welcomed throughout the year.
